biography.......
After seeing flamenco guitarist Manitas de Plata and classical guitarist John Williams
on TV on consecutive weekends I went to the local second hand shop and bought my
first guitar for about $10. A few months later, around my 18 th birthday, I exchanged
it for another one, a much pricier model at $30. I've still got that one, and in fact wrote many of my compositions on that guitar, which I still use from time to time.
I took classical lessons for about a year, but then in college I got into the folk/ragtime crowd. When I came to the USA I began developing my own style and composing
pieces here and there, mostly just to relax. There's something special about writing
music, because when you are done something exists where there was nothing before,
and that's a very special feeling.
I'm not a prolific writer, but I still have a lot of music left in me, enough for a couple
more CD's at least, so if you've enjoyed what you've heard so far then watch this space.
